Refund Policy

There is no separate trial. These 14 days are the trial — buy the license, use the whole app, and if it is not for you, ask for your money back.
The policy
If Katami is not right for you, email support@katami.io within 14 days of purchase and we will refund you in full. You do not need to give a reason, and we will not try to talk you out of it.
A license is a single payment, so there is nothing to cancel. A refund simply ends the license.
Another year of updates
A renewal, another 12 months of updates, is covered the same way: ask within 14 days of paying for it and we refund it in full. Refunding a renewal ends those 12 months of updates. Your license, and every version it already covers, stays yours.
How to ask
Email support@katami.io from the address you bought with, or quote the order reference from your receipt. The receipt comes from Paddle, who process the payment.
How the money comes back
Paddle.com Market Limited is the Merchant of Record for your purchase, so Paddle issues the refund to your original payment method, including any tax you paid. We ask them to; they do it, usually the same day. How long it takes to appear depends on your bank — usually a few working days.
After 14 days
Past the 14 days we do not offer refunds as a rule, but we are people, not a policy engine. If something has gone wrong — Katami stopped working for you and we could not fix it, or you were charged twice — write to us and we will put it right.
Please ask us before your bank
If you dispute the charge with your bank, the license ends as it would with a refund, and the dispute takes weeks rather than a day. Emailing us is faster, and it is never held against you.
What happens to the app
A refund of a license ends it. Katami stops running as a licensed copy the next time it checks in, and the License Manager no longer offers the download. Your photographs are untouched — they were never anywhere but your Mac, and nothing about them is stored by us to remove.
If you are in the EU or UK
You have a legal right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. For digital products that right can end once the download begins with your consent, and many sellers rely on that.
We do not. The 14-day refund above applies whether or not you have downloaded or used Katami, so you are covered either way, and you do not need to work out which rule applies to you.
