These terms cover this website, the License Manager, and buying a license to Katami. Using the app itself is covered by the End-User License Agreement.
Katami is made by Bespoke Byte, LLC ("we", "us"), a limited liability company registered in the State of Wyoming, United States.
If you are a consumer, you have rights under the law of the country you live in that no contract can take away. Nothing in these terms limits them.
What you are buying
A single payment of $79 USD, plus any tax, buys one Katami license: Katami, forever, on two Macs you use, with 12 months of every update. There is no subscription. Nothing renews by itself, and there is nothing to cancel.
After the 12 months, Katami keeps working, and every version released within them stays yours. Updating is optional: another 12 months of updates is $39 USD, plus any tax, whenever you like. How Your License Works explains it in full; the price and what it includes are on the pricing page.
Who you are buying from
Paddle.com Market Limited is the Merchant of Record for every purchase. Paddle sells the license to you on our behalf: it takes the payment, calculates and pays any sales tax or VAT, and issues your receipt, under its own terms for buyers. Your card statement will show Paddle rather than us. The license itself is between you and us, under the EULA.
The price shown before you pay is the price you pay. The tax added at checkout depends on where you live, and is shown before you confirm.
Getting the software
After you pay, we email you a link to the License Manager, where you download Katami and sign in. Katami is not downloadable from this website. If the email does not arrive within an hour, write to support@katami.io and we will sort it out.
Refunds
Fourteen days, in full, no reason needed, for a license and for a renewal of its updates — see the Refund Policy. A refund of a license ends the license.
Discounts
Students and educators get 50% off. Claim it on Discounts with the email address your school or university gave you; we send the code to that address. Non-profits can ask for a reduced price, and teams for a quote.
A discount code is for the person it was issued to, works once, and has no cash value. We may decline or withdraw a code that was obtained by misrepresentation.
The License Manager
You sign in to the License Manager with a link we email you; there is no password. Keep access to your email address secure, since it is the key to your license. You are responsible for what happens under your sign-in, and should tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to it.
Acceptable use
Do not use this website or the License Manager to break the law, to attack or overload them, to get into another person's account, or to get around the license check. We may suspend access that is used this way. We will tell you why, unless the law or an ongoing investigation prevents it.
Our content
The website, the Katami name and logo, and everything we publish here are ours or licensed to us. You are welcome to quote, link to and write about Katami; please do not use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you.
Disclaimers and liability
The website and the License Manager are provided "as is". We work to keep them available, and the app does not depend on them to keep running (see the EULA), but we do not promise they will always be.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid for your license, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
Complaints
If something has gone wrong, email support@katami.io. We reply to every complaint within 14 days, and in practice much sooner. If we need more information to look into it, we will say exactly what.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Wyoming have jurisdiction, except where the law of the country you live in lets you bring a claim where you live — which, if you are a consumer, it usually does, and these terms do not take away.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, and when we do, the date at the top changes. For a material change, we email license holders at least 14 days before it takes effect. A change never applies to a purchase you have already made.
